The Secondary Section
(Students from Std. VI to Std. X)
The Secondary Section of the school consists of Std. VI to X. The Secondary Section builds an interest in exploration and places an emphasis on acquiring sound language skills, clarity of concepts and an understanding of scientific principles. The children acquire the building blocks of scholarship, good study habits and a love for learning.
Here the emphasis is more on reasoning skills and logical thinking. The core academic curriculum includes instruction in English, Mathematics, General Science, Social Studies, Information Technology and Value Education. There are co-curricular activities such as Quizzes, Projects (Group/Individual), Assignments, Group Discussions, Role plays, Debates, Seminars/Presentations, Art and Physical Education.
Classes 9 and 10 constitute the secondary level where the student’s intellectual, aesthetic, physical and cultural growth are strengthened and extended to a foundation course designed to suit students from an international background. The smooth transition from childhood to adolescence is facilitated by comprehensive, value-added education.
The children are made to strive towards academic excellence. Subject specialists take enrichment and remedial classes. At this level effective career guidance is provided which enables students to opt for proper subject streams at the senior secondary level.
